Elbow Replacement?

A total elbow replacement is a last resort. These are for complex injuries of the elbow and are typically conducted on patients with severe elbow fractures or end-stage arthritis that are irreparable. A vast majority of these patients are over the age of 70 years old and have severe arthritis affecting the motion of the elbow and causing significant alteration to activities of daily living. This is a last resort as there will be a lifetime lifting restriction of up to 25 pounds.
